First Trip to the Zoo (Brrrr!)

Peaches had 2 weeks off for Christmas break, and Kad took the week between Christmas and New Years off. We loved having time off at home as a family. Although it was cold (okay, freezing), we decided to take Gabriella to Zoo Atlanta for the first time. We thought she was finally at a good age where she'd really enjoy the animals. We were right...although cold...we had a great time! And...because of the weather, the tickets were discounted and it wasn't crowded at all.

Checking out which route to take...

She held "baby" (also well-bundled) the whole time she was in the stroller! It was so cute. (Oh, and thanks for the warm purple blanket, Uncle Cam!)

The flamingos were first on the list

Ugly warthogs cuddling together

Hiking through the park

"Mommy, I don't like the way Willy B is looking at my baby"

About to see lots of birdies...

In the Treehouse with Daddy

Love the bamboo!

We had a great view of the pandas!

How cute! We watched the pandas for the longest time...Gabriella really liked them.

Still at the panda exhibit

Saying bye bye to the pandas (this exhibit is usually crowded, but we practically had it to ourselves!)

Daddy Kangaroo and his joey! =)

Snug in her coat

Approaching the giant kangaroo

When we got to the 'kiddie' area, we let her get out to explore. She LOVED it and ran and ran everywhere.

At the petting zoo with Daddy. She kept saying "touch, touch"...

Pregnant Mommy (aka 'homeless looking woman') took turns in the petting zoo too

Holding freezing hands...

Gotta wash and dry after the petting zoo...she even liked this part, haha

Up close with the kangaroos...how cool!

Freedom!!

She had so much fun running around the park, she was running with her tongue out... we were cracking up!

We had to walk up a steep, long hill. Gabriella insisted she do it her 'self'...what a big girl.

My favorite! This makes the freezing cold trip all worth it...

She found a little elephant 'her size'
